The MVV has been faced with constantly growing demands since the MVV GmbH was founded in 1971. Increasing passenger numbers, rapid population growth - particularly in the area surrounding the state capital - the expansion of the road network and the construction of the Franz Josef Strauss airport are all challenges that the MVV is meeting head on. Almost one million people use the U-Bahn underground system every day, while around 700,000 travel on the S-Bahn urban rail network.

The MVV wanted to offer its passengers from Munich and surrounding areas a website that always has the latest news and information. Visitors to the website should be able to navigate their way quickly on the page and access the information they require via just a few mouse clicks. The website is maintained by MVV staff themselves.
